Pink Skies

pinksky

This is a "photoshop altered" view of the water looking across from Peanut Island.
Peanut Island is a man made island in west palm beach - where many people park their boats.
You can also camp overnight, snorkel, swim and picnic

Hot Dog Anyone?

This really is a hot dog stand along the Indian River in Stuart Florida.
Boaters can get their hot dog fixed without getting out of their boat.
One weekend night a few months ago we made a "shrimpers" run on Joe's boat.
It is nice that we have restuarants like Shrimpers that we can dock right up to and enjoy a nice dinner. But Gabe did want to stop and get a hot do and ruin his dinner!!!

A Postcard From Florida.....

Welcome to my new blog - you can also see my other blog on myspace.com/felonice/

Anyways, this blog is about my life in Florida - I was born and raised in Florida and I have lived here 25 out of 27 year. (Left for 2 but got sick of the cold and came back).

I think lately Florida has gotten some bad press lately - Election Recounts, Hurricanes, brush fires, alligator attacks and more!

But I think a lot of people don't hear the fun of day to day living in the sunshine state.

No believe me with the supposedly 1000+ people who move here each day, there are things that suck about Florida - mostly traffic!!!

but there are some upsides to Florida - NO SNOW and cold weather.

Here is my postcard of the day -
While kayaking recently in Wekiva Springs in Apoka (near Orlando) I came upon a friendly aligator (well maybe just sleeping and not so friendly) sun-ing on a log. Now, in all the years I have lived here - I was always led to believe that Aligators don't go in the springs because the water is too cold - 72 degrees year round. so seeing this guy as well as a few others - really blew that theroy right out of the water!!!
